Did you know that lifestyle diseases and other unfortunate ailments can be controlled, managed or avoided by a few simple steps? Here they are: 1. Start taking mineral and iron supplements: Most of us complain of hairfall and bad skin due to stress. Mineral and iron tablets control it up to 50-70%. Common OTC names to ask your chemist are Livogen Z & A-Z tablets.
2. Sleep at least 7 hours: There is no substitute for this, because it regenerates our bodies, and as we get older, less sleep makes us look even older!
3. Eat ginger, turmeric and methi seeds every morning: Ginger lessens any kind of body inflammation (could be a heavy night of drinking or lack of rest or chums around the corner or joint pain), turmeric is an antiseptic and will ward off food and water related diseases, and makes your skin glow, and methi seeds regulate metabolism and hormones. They're also good for inflammation or bloating. Those with high stress or high BP should add garlic to the list, it lowers blood pressure! Half a teaspoon, every morning, the moment you wake up. Swallow them down with water and condition yourself to believe they are medicine tablets. Otherwise you wont be able to!!
4. Switch to red wine: No, I'm not saying this due to reports that red wine is good for the heart, I'm saying this because red wine doesnt cause bloating or puffiness. In our professional daily lives, it's important to look fresh the next day, and equally important to enjoy a drink every other night!!!
5. Get a foot massage once a week: Try it for two weeks consecutively, and you'll see the difference. You're less tired, and feet look great too!
Let me know how you feel after trying out some/all of these. I do all the above!!!
OVERWORKED! For a couple years I've been blaming it on lack of sleep and too much pressure from my job, but now I found out the real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked. The population of this country is 237 million. 104 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work. There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government, leaving 19 million to do the work. 2.8 million are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 16.2 million to do the work. Take from the total the 14,800,000 people who work for State and City Governments and that leaves 1.4 million to do the work. At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals, leaving 1,212,000 to do the work. Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me. And you're sitting at your computer reading jokes.
There is life. There is work. And then there are the million things we love doing, in between. How we choose to balance or imbalance our lives, is completely up to us. I choose to live, work, pursue my passions and live with a balance... that even rhymes! What will you choose? How about living life instead of living work?
